FROM TATAVLA TO KURTULUȘ
During the reign of Süleyman the Magnificent, the area became the settlement of
the immigrants brought from the island of Chios and the district was named “Tatavla”.
The name Tatavla was derived from “barn” in Greek. The reason was the presence of
the ranges and barns of the palace in Tatavla.
After the great fire that broke out in 1929, it started to be called Kurtuluş; which
means “Salvation”. From this date until the mid-20th century, the most populous and
richest Greek people lived here.
Today, once again Kurtuluş regained its diverse population as in history.

THE DESIRE OF THE WARMNESS OF HOME
When asked, people said their dream house would be in a beautiful building with high ceilings; in harmony with the history of this magical city. They said the ideal home should have the luxury and functionality of the modern life from the inside and from the outside it should have a welcoming facade. Then we knew what they desired. It wasn’t only a cold high ceiling building… A spacious housing complex, with 1+1, 2+1, 3+1 garden and terrace apartments that make your life easier with its concierge and car parks, which has a ceiling height of 3.15 m; just like in the old days.
HIGH CEILING HIGH COMFORT
Old İstanbul houses always had high ceilings to provide a more comfortable and spacious living. We have carried this heritage to Taksim Palas and designed our apartments 30% higher than the standard buildings. Ceilings 3.15 meters in height provides Taksim Palas residents a comfortable and spacious life whilecarrying its architectural legacy forward.
This is one of the oldest apartment buildings in İstanbul; Heyula. When apartment buildings were rising in the world, Heyula appeared in Elmadağ. Heyula was the home of the people who wanted a change, to be away from the mansion life and to adapt the new era. Having a view was not of a big deal back then; so the terrace flats were belonged to servants. Even looking at the splendid Heyula Building gives some sense of envy. Perhaps because it reflects the elegance of the period in which it was built.
And now the modern interpretation of palace elegance and culture of old times will be experienced at Taksim Palas; in the center of İstanbul.
The most important privilege of living in Taksim Palas is its facilities. From the PlayStation room to the cinema room, the visitor’s room and the children’s playroom, you can make use of various recreational areas. With “Home in Home” system, you can reserve exclusive rooms any time and you will only need to pay for the facilities as you use them. This method provides residents with recreational rooms and a wide area without the burden of regular maintenance fee payment. Fitness center is not in the pay-as-you-use system. It is included in the common areas.
